We welcome creativity regardless of the project’s theme or genre. We will prioritize projects that can be produced/shot in Greece. Greece offers a wide variety of locations, so a project does not necessarily have to be set in Greece to be produced/shot here.

No; participants are not required, but are highly encouraged, to attend the festival and explore first-hand all that Cannes has to offer.
Yes, absolutely. All projects that participate in the Owl workshop are eligible for the Residency Awards.

The Owl will cover accommodation and meals during the main workshop in Athens. The Cannes Film Market supports the Owl, allowing the workshop to offer a stipend to help with the costs of attending the Cannes Film Festival, along with a free festival pass. Participants will be expected to cover their own travel to Athens and their travel and living in Cannes.
